A cement pendant light shaped like a lotus leaf: a wide, wavy-edged shade in cream micro-cement over an iron frame, thin at the rim and rough to the touch, hung on a slim cord so the whole weight of the piece is in the shade. The 25cm size suits a bedside, a hallway, a kitchen worktop or a row of three over an island; the 42cm is a single statement over a dining table, a kitchen island or a living-room seating area. Choose it plain, or with a solid-walnut cap at the cord that warms the cream against oak floors and linen.

Takes a standard E27 bulb — order it with a warm white LED bulb fitted, or without a bulb to use your own filament or smart bulb; the wavy edge throws a soft, uneven pool of light that suits the wabi-sabi look. The cord adjusts up to 1.5m and wires to a standard UK ceiling rose (220–240V, hardwired, no plug). Lights roughly 10–15 m². Sits with our travertine pendants, cement wall lights and the wabi-sabi pebble flush for a whole-room scheme.
